Happy Christmas!

Not everyone is celebrating Christmas this year; not all of us recognize the holiday, some of us are forced to work and still more just can’t be bothered with the fuss. As far as I’m concerned there’s no need to feel bad about spending your time off doing whatever it is that you want to do. We don’t all have to gather round an open fire with our loved ones or pretend to be interested in the queen’s speech. Many of us would just like a little time to ourselves.

The more I watch T.V and listen to the radio, the more difficult it is not to let the avalanche of soap operas, Christmas movies and sickly top ten hits convince me that we all need to spend every minute together this weekend. But I don’t believe this to be true. In my mind the most important thing about Christmas is that it gives us a chance to relax and reflect on the year gone by. If you want to spend it alone then do so. If you’re like me you might rather spend it with one special person. If you have a favourite London escort then why not keep each other company? If you have to work all day then why not give yourself something to look forward to when you finally get some time to yourself.

Christmas isn’t just about handing out presents to aunts you never speak to and watching T.V. Christmas is about celebrating and allowing ourselves a little joy. Whatever your idea of a good time is make sure you make the most of your weekend, and have a very happy Christmas!
